| Chris Carlisle When I started writing my own tunes for the mountain dulcimer I wanted to convey the feeling of sitting on the front porch surrounded by family and friends playing music until deep into the night surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains. My music is simplistic enough for beginners to learn yet complicated enough to challenge the more experienced.

| Modern Mountain Dulcimer Modern Mountain Dulcimers have BIG sound. We build high performance mountain dulcimers for discerning professionals, intermediates, and new players. Our instruments are not for shy people or for people who do not want to stand out in the jam. They just might be for someone who does not want to be shy anymore.
